Faroe Islands was all I never imagined it to be.
I don't reckon I can stop emphasising the magical feeling that this place emanates. This grand, untouched landscape lies unexplored before our feet, nature unfolds in all its might and roughness in front of your eyes- we occupy mountains, challenge heights and meet nature, all in the middle of North Atlantic.

It is no secret that there is something about Faroe Islands which invites you to slow down, there are more spaces between heart beats as the stillness takes over the restlessness and hectic tempo of daily life. Nonetheless being a city girl, I know this isn't the place where I will stay rooted, as strange as it sounds, I do still crave the hustle and bustle of a city and I know there are a lot more things I look forward at home- though I must say this 3 weeks break away from home was such a great rejuvenation, an apt journey to start afresh the new direction I am working towards. Nothing is more important than a well-rested soul, energy comes from within.

Ferry to Kalsoy, Kalsvik. Here we go for the second hike of the trip, one with steeper elevation but of course compensated with a view more than feast to the eyes. We witnessed faint sun rays passing through Faroe Islands's famous gloomy clouds, piercing into the North Atlantic sea, sea gulls flying around the cliffs and we were just freezing in awe. The most magical sight I have witnessed my life, till date- what a surreal and magical scene. Of all countries I step foot on, this land feels extremely special to exist within.

Lastly, thank you guys for such an amazing trip. I have not bursted into such laughters and joy in such a long while.

I can't put into words how much I love and miss this place. Right now I am watching @kreakybones travel Faroe Islands at this moment and living through her photos and footages 🇫🇴 It is, by far the most magical place I have traveled to.
Truth be told, this trip was taken to place my footing back on track, for a long time prior to this trip I barely could find the strength & reason to smile through a day- but these guys opened a new door in my life. I didn't know what to expect traveling with people I never traveled with before but surprises and happiness came in full swing- right into my face during this trip. I remembered I haven't laughed so hard for so long, I found comfort in their company & I felt pure joy. It was an entire week of hikes, road trips, home cooked meals and countless moments of laughter. It was a trip that turned my life around. Simple, but happy.
